PAMET-USA was founded on the principles of serving and supporting the medical technology profession, with the goal of becoming a recognized and influential voice in the industry. With Filipinos comprising the largest minority group of medical technologists, PAMET-USA recognized the need to organize and empower this community to ensure their voices are heard in the future direction of the profession. The Nevada chapter of PAMET was established in the early 1990s, and over time, it grew to include a diverse group of medical technologists from Las Vegas.
